This world is full of nutjobs. Lemme tell ya.
Meet Bobbi-Jo Westley. She’s a morbidly obese woman– 542 lbs (btw, she’s only 5′ 2″)– who’s on a mission. No, it’s not a weight loss mission. It’s actually the complete opposite. She wants the world’s largest hips. She’s so close, you guys. Her thighs currently measure 95 inches around, but the record is held by Mikel Ruffinelli, whose hips measure 99 inches around. So I guess Westley is shooting for 100 inches around? I have no idea.
The woman can barely walk.
Her doctors have warned her not to do this, but she’s not listening, because, as she explains, this is “just something I have to do.” Screw the fact that she could like, die. Her nutritionist already described her as a “ticking time bomb.”
“It’s literally a life or death choice at this point,” nutritionist Nadia Sharifi said.
While Bobbi-Jo attributes her obesity to thyroid issues, Sharifi said that’s not the sole problem.
“Hormones, or thyroid issues, or blood type or ancestry might play a little part, but ultimately it’s down to what we put into our mouth,” she said.
Despite the health risks, Bobbi- Jo is not showing any signs of reversing course. In fact, she has fans who cheer her on.
“My hips are what makes me unique. It’s what makes me ‘me,'” Bobbi-Jo explained. “When I realized that there where men out there who like my shape, I was kind of surprised.”
Hold on. It gets worse. Prepare to HURL.
The Daily Mail adds that Bobbi-Jo engages in “steamy webcam sessions” with dudes who find her hips attractive, and this earns her up to $2,000 AN HOUR. Can you even?!
But the hips. She needs to break this hip record, you guys.
“It’s just something that I have to do and I take it one day at a time,” she said. “I want to be remembered for something, and I think having the world’s biggest hips is what I was meant to be remembered for.”
I actually feel really bad for her. Does she really believe that’s the only contribution she can make to the world? Risking her health to have the world’s biggest hips?
“I am worried about my health sometimes because of my size – I know that it is not healthy. My doctor asked me if I had ever considered gastric bypass and I do have a fear of dying,” she said. “I understand that I’m putting myself at risk by trying to get the world’s biggest hips but it’s something that I have to do.”
She needs to visit a psychiatrist or something.
