Like Hillary Clinton, President Obama is coming back out of the woods to do what he does best: Community organizing. He’s expected to appear at the University of Chicago next week and speak alllllllll about civic engagement, which is code for #Resisting and #Persisting. (#Resisting and #Persisting are codes for “screw a job. Go to college for a useless degree and protest any conservative speaker who attempts to step foot in your safe space.” In other words, Punch a Nazi! Or something.)
That’s not the only thing Obama’s been up to. He recently decided to weigh in on the French election, because he’s Barry! Surely his opinion is relevant! Can you guess who he’s quietly supporting?

Obama hasn’t officially backed him, but come on. This tweet signifies a bromance. It’s obvious. And yes. This is the same Emmanuel Macron who basically told the French people to get used to terrorism.
“This threat, this imponderable problem, is part of our daily lives for the years to come,” Macron told French radio. “I would like to express all my support for our police forces and more generally the forces of law and order. I am particularly thinking of the victim’s family.”
Meanwhile, Trump said the terror in France will likely sway voters toward the candidate who is “strongest on borders” and “strongest on what’s been going on in France.” Aka, Marine Le Pen.
Another terrorist attack in Paris. The people of France will not take much more of this. Will have a big effect on presidential election!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 21, 2017
Trump hasn’t officially endorsed Le Pen, but it’s easy to see he prefers her to Macron.
The French election takes place Sunday. If no candidate reaches the 50 percent threshold, it will go to a runoff, which will take place May 7th. We’ll be watching closely!
