I don’t know that I will ever get tired of hearing how devastated and humiliated Hillary Clinton was on Election Night 2016. She’s such a disgusting, dishonest, lying, power-grubbing hosebeast that any kind of bad news (politically speaking) for her is good news to me.
Maybe it comes having had to deal with the Clintons for most of my life and how much I can’t stand them. I just get a kick out of it.
According to a book that’s coming out called “Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton’s Doomed Campaign,” Hillary did not want to call Donald Trump and concede the election, even after it looked like she was going to lose Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. But officials from the Obama administration finally had to tell her to shelve her ego (which as we all know is enormous) and do it because they didn’t want to drag the Democrats through a recount –
It was the Obama administration that urged Clinton to concede the race to Trump, as he began racking up wins in so-called “blue wall” states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin because the White House didn’t want Democrats to get caught up in a recount.
“You need to concede,” Obama told Clinton. He later repeated the simple instruction to Clinton’s former campaign chairman, John Podesta.
While Clinton did concede the race to Trump privately, she did not publicly throw in the towel until the morning after Election Day.
Isn’t it interesting that their priority was “the Democrats” when it came to the possibility of mounting a recount. No thought to how a recount would affect the country as a whole. Well, when power is all you care about…
To drive home the point that Hillary Clinton doesn’t give a flying flea fart about anyone except the people who can give her power, she apologized to Obama for losing. This, if you recall, was right before she didn’t come out to address her supporters on Election Night, instead opting to speak to her big-time donors the next day –
“Mr. President, I’m sorry,” Clinton told Obama, the Washington Post reported in its review of the book, which was written by The Hill’s Amie Parnes and Sidewire’s Jonathan Allen.
Yeah, she could apologize to her former boss and BFF Obama. But no apologies for the so-called “little people” who came out to vote for her and campaign for her and celebrate her “impending win” that never came on Election Night?
As much as I disagree with Hillary Clinton supporters and as happy as I am that they did NOT win, on this score I actually feel sorry for them. Supporting a candidate for office is tough business. Physically, emotionally, mentally – all of it. If you go to all that work to support and campaign for a candidate and that candidate loses, the candidate OWES it to those supporters to at least show up and speak to the crowd. Thank them for their efforts, say ‘sorry it didn’t work out,’ and encourage them to keep trying.
Hillary Clinton? Nah. She doesn’t give a crap about the nameless rabble who actually believed her garbage. They didn’t give her the White House and that’s all she cares about. She couldn’t be bothered to talk to them. She basically slapped them all in the face after they’d already been devastated by the loss.
So, there you go. Hillary Clinton is a terrible human being who doesn’t deserve to win election for county dog catcher, much less the presidency.
(Please don’t let her run again. EVER.)
