After Trashing President Trump For Three Weeks, CA Gov. Jerry Brown Needs His Help

Pro-Tip: Maybe you don’t want burn bridges with national leaders less than a month before you have to come begging them for help.

According to this, California’s moonbat governor Jerry Brown is asking President Trump for federal assistance to aid in the Oroville Dam crisis

Gov. Jerry Brown is asking the Trump administration for federal assistance in responding to a potential failure of a spillway at the Oroville Dam in Northern California.

In a letter to President Donald Trump released Monday, Brown asks for help for the three Northern California counties affected.

Brown says aid is needed to assist the 188,000 residents of Butte, Sutter and Yuba counties who were ordered to evacuate Sunday after concerns an emergency spillway could give way, unleashing a gush of water to downstream towns.

This after Brown spent all three weeks of Trump’s time in office thus far decrying Trump’s immigration policies. Of course, the left LOVED that –

The governor had in the weeks prior attacked Trump, proclaiming that “California is not turning back” in reference to the president’s border security and immigration policies.

His defiant stance elicited praise from liberal news outlets like Mother Jones, which saw him as an “alternative president”:

It’s almost as if the man who once ran for the White House himself were taking a stand as a kind of alternative president. In his annual State of the State address on Tuesday, California Gov. Jerry Brown reiterated a vision for the nation’s most populous state that was thoroughly at odds with the Trump administration. He pledged to continue inking California’s own climate agreements with other states and countries, to fight for the Affordable Care Act, and to “defend everybody — every man, woman, and child — who has come here for a better life and has contributed to the well-being of our state.

Now, President Trump did approve federal relief funds to California on Tuesday, which is precisely what he should have done (just because California’s insane left-wing state and local governments drive me crazy doesn’t mean I want ordinary Californians to suffer for their leaders’ arrogance). But it’s just funny to me how much Gov. Brown has been trashing and dumping on Trump and now he has to ask for help.

Irony, my friends.
