Everything You Need To Know About President-Elect Trump’s Press Conference

President-elect Trump just held his first formal press conference since winning the election. Sure, he’s answered a few questions from the press here and there, but he hasn’t held a formal press conference, until now.

The press conference was originally expected to focus on how Trump will separate himself from his business, but with the new allegations that came out Tuesday night, the incoming administration had other things to address.

Future White House press secretary Sean Spicer opened up and jumped into it by addressing the unverified dossier published by BuzzFeed Tuesday afternoon. He described BuzzFeed’s story as a “sad and pathetic attempt to get clicks.”

VP-elect Mike Pence spoke next and denounced the report and said “the American people are sick and tired” of the media bias.

President-elect Trump took the stage next and repeated what Spicer and Pence said. The reports aren’t true. He even praised some news outlets that rejected the report.

He also reminded everyone that he’ll be “the greatest jobs producer that God ever created.”

Trump also announced the VA secretary, David Shulkin.

Then the questions started. The first was focused on Russia. Trump actually said that he believes Russia was behind the hacking.

He also addressed BuzzFeed’s report that exploded the internet last night.

Believe it or not, he kinda joked about it. He says he’s a “germaphobe” anyway. So #GoldenShowers? Ew. No thanks.

Also, tiny cameras. He’s aware of them, just FYI.

He also said if Putin likes him, that’s not necessarily a liability.

And reiterated that he has no deals in Russia whatsoever.

Also, he’s not releasing his tax returns anytime soon.

Switching gears. Trump said he’s turning over his business to his older sons, Don Jr. and Eric and displayed some of the documents he’s signed to make that happen. He’s completely isolating himself from the management of his company. He had his lawyer Shari Dillon go over the details. Ivanka Trump won’t have anything to do with the company either.

According to Dillon, Trump has sold “easily liquidated assets” and placed them in a trust. In addition, “no new foreign deals will be made whatsoever during the duration of President Trump’s presidency.”

She also announced that Trump will voluntarily donate all profits from foreign government payments to his hotels to the U.S. Treasury.

Right after that announcement, Trump took the mic again and answered a few more questions. He talked a little bit about Obamacare and said we’re going to be “very very” proud of what they put forth. He said they will submit a plan– a simultaneous repeal and replace plan– soon.

He also said we’re still building a wall– not a fence. And yes. Mexico will end up paying for it.

He concluded by saying he hopes his sons will take good care of his business. And if not…they’re fired. (These are the jokes people!)

There’s more where that came from, but that’s the gist. Thoughts?
