After reading this, I can’t help but think that President Trump picked the perfect day to sign the revised travel/immigration order.
According to that sourcelink, 300 people admitted to the U.S. as refugees are currently subject to FBI counterterrorism investigations involving ISIS. And yes. Some of those individuals are from the six countries– Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen– affected by Trump’s revised order.
Nearly a third of the 1,000 FBI domestic terrorism cases – 300 – involve those admitted to the U.S. as refugees, a Department of Homeland Security official said Monday. Officials said some of those 300 came to “infiltrate” the U.S., while others were radicalized once they were in the country.
The officials didn’t detail the current immigration status of those 300 people who were subjects of government terror probes, Reuters reported, citing a source.
Weird, right? I mean, I thought all of the refugees were orphans and widows who wouldn’t hurt a fly.
If anything, this report justifies Trump’s latest order. We need tighter vetting procedures. That’s not Islamophobic. That’s common sense. But by all means. Let the idiotic airport protests commence.
