According to this, Jay Carney's reaction to the NRA's recent video was as follows:
"Most Americans agree that a president's children should not be used as pawns in a political fight. But to go so far as to make the safety of the president's children the subject of an attack ad is repugnant and cowardly.”
Apparently, using anyone else's kids as pawns to further their own agenda, however, is PERFECTLY FINE. It's perfectly fine to trot out a bunch of kids, and pretend that they wrote letters saying how much they want gun restrictions.
